Creamsicle Summer, a digital collage of vectorized images and a central abstracted portrait, captures the happiness behind each person; exploring how the relationships people make bring them joy. The abstracted portrait of my mother uses warm hues to symbolize happiness while the monochromatic background emphasizes her family. Inspired by Picasso’s abstraction and use of color to convey emotion, Creamsicle Summer uses warm tones against a monochromatic background to emphasize happiness.
