Lost Gaze

12 X 20

Lost Gaze, inspired by Edvard Munch’s self portrait, explores the depth and conflict in possibility. The viewer sees the figure’s gaze trail off of the frame, seemingly transfixed by galaxies beyond the frame to symbolize the indecision and conflict when faced with insurmountable decisions. Paired with the ski mask and goggles, symbolizing personal masking, Lost Gaze urges viewers to explore staying true to oneself when faced with drastic decisions.
