Growing up, my mother founded and owned her own business. Inspired by her stories of challenges she faced as a woman in a corporate environment, I discuss the strength and power it takes for women to succeed facing challenges and disparities in the workplace. Using contrasting grays and oranges, symbolizing hope, the goddess Athena stands behind an image of my mother, both gazing resolutely into the distance, as if staring down the mountain- symbolizing challenge- in the background.
